Non-parametrical Analysis of Technical Efficiency of High commercial Farms in Poland in the years 1992-2005 with DEA
M. Gospodarowicz
Abstract: One of the key problems of Polish agriculture for many years is its archaic agrarian structure. Structural change in rural areas did not show the desired growth rate, resulting in persistent high levels of employment in agricultural activities and the associated low productivity of labor. The aim of the presented article was to identify and evaluate changes in technical efficiency (in terms of DEA model) of farms in terms of possibilities for their further development. The groups included the analysis of the potential problems of manufacturing, production and organizational trends, the economic and financial rates, and the period of analysis covered the years 1992-2005. The subject of analysis were high-productive farms.
