Regional Specialization of Dairy Farm Status and Prospects

Abstract: In agriculture, the issues related to specialization are subject of research, mainly in the period of accelerated introduction of scientific and technical progress and the transition to an intensification of the industry. Today, new economic conditions require additional justification and specification of the use of traditional approaches and mechanisms for studying agricultural specialization in sectoral and regional aspects and its relation to the size, kind and type of farm The article analyzes the regional specialization of dairy farm in areas of planning in the country. It reveals the comparative advantages of the specialized farms of different typology and forms practical guidelines and suggestions. For analysis, the methodology for determining the economical size and specialization of farms was adjusted for dairy farming. Three indicators were used and analyzed in their relationship and dependence ¦ index of the level of regional specialization, index of the effect of dairy farming specialization, general index of specialization in dairy farming.
