The Reform of the Vegetables Market Common Organization in EU

Abstract: The article accentuates on the producers’ organization as a key instrument of the common organization of the EU vegetables’ market. The aims, the principles, the functions and the minimal requirements for their creation have been clarified. The profits for the members of the producers’ organization have been proved, expressed in the bigger opportunities to withstand the higher purchase prices through the grouping of the proposed vegetables, to plan in a better way and to realize their production. By the market point of view, better production concentration has been reached, constancy of the offer and strengthening of the control on the quality of the proposed products. Problems have been revealed that hamper the creation of producers’ organizations in Bulgaria, in the sector “Vegetables”. The necessity of reform in the common market organization is expressed. The idea for the reform is to encourage the creation and the consolidation of producers’ organizations in the vegetables-growing, through the use of wider range of measures and instruments.
