The CAP and the Renewal of the Tractors Park and Agricultural Machinery

Резюме: A priority of the CAP is the increase of the compеtitiveness of the agricultural production. The agricultural equipment impacts its level through its quantity and quality. The data of the MAF indicates that about 80% of it is physically and morally exhausted and has been used for production needs for more than 10 years. The main reason for the delay in the renewal of the tractor’s park and agricultural machinery equipment is the lack of sufficient financial means. The aim of the article is to analyze the utilization of the possibilities of the operative program for agriculture for the renewal of the machinery park, the problems in the adoption of the financial means of the program, and work out recommendations to improve its further operation and functioning. The analysis of the total budget of the measure and the approved subsidy shows that 60% from the applications have been approved and the granted subsidy for them is 36% from the total budget of Мeasure 121. Besides, 94.69% from the approved projects concern the plant-growing activities and only 5.31% - the livestock breeding. The available information does not provide a possibility to differentiate the spent financial resource for buying of agricultural machines by quantities, makes and models.
