Effects of the application of the measures from Axis 1 of RDP on agricultural farms in Bulgaria

Резюме: The objective of this article is to make an analysis and assessment of the effects of the impact of CAP of EU on agricultural farms in Bulgaria and to identify problems in its implementation. The following scientific methods have been used in the study: comparative analysis, method of statistical groupings, expert assessment and others. The study covers the measures for increasing competitiveness - from Axis 1 of the Rural Development Program (RDP), as they directly influence the economic status and development of agricultural farms. Since the support under the measures has different impact and diverse effect, the study is made by agricultural farms’ specialization. The level of utilization of the contracted public funds under the separate measures from Axis 1 of RDP is indicated, problems, impeding the implementation of some of the measures, are identified. The positive effects and the negative ones from the implementation of the measures on the development of different types of agricultural farms are highlighted.
